Last Saturday, at Our Lady Perpetual Help Cathedral, Makurdi, Benue State, a cook serving Catholic Priest, Rev. Father Michael Tumba, had his wedding made just a lit bit more special by the fact that his best man was Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State.
The governor actually took his time to perform his duties, adjusting the groom’s tie , wiping sweat from his face to the admiration of the guests who attended the ceremony.
Suswam old the guests at the wedding reception which was held at the same venue that the groom who had served Tumba in Abuja for 18 years had demonstrated commitment to his job and deserved to be honoured. He advised people to take their jobs seriously.
Anyiman said he considered himself lucky to have the governor serve as his best man and could not have wished for a better wedding gift.
